Our Story

Point A Dance’s roots come from a great relationship built under Point B Dance, our sister studio. Deena Schaumburg started dancing and teaching for Point B Dance, a studio for adults, under the direction of Cathy Patterson. Seeing a need for a fun and inviting place for young dancers to grow and learn, Deena started working with a small group of dancers in 2012. These dancers, more committed than the recreational level, wanted a friendly place to compete, so Point A was born. As Point A started to grow, the need for more instruction grew and Cathy and Paige  joined to contribute their expertise and passion for dance. Point A Dance offers a wide range of style and instruction for all dancers ages 3-18.
